Denver Fashion Week is Back

Models in white walking down a runway

It’s that time of year yet again. Denver Fashion Week is rolling back around, and if you’re a fashionista in the DTC apartments you’re primed and ready for any and all information surrounding this amazing event:

“Denver Fashion Week (DFW) is Denver’s largest fashion showcase featuring emerging designers, local boutiques, national brands, hair stylists, makeup artists and models.”

You need to know the who, what, where, when, and everything else about Fashion Week, and we’ve got you covered in that regard. Today, we’re going to be going over all those pertinent details you’re after, along with a little extra to get you hyped before the big dates.

Denver Fashion Week: The Background and Basics

It’s here where the up-and-coming icons of the fashion world show off some of their best, and you might recall the most recent iteration of Denver Fashion Week, in Spring of 2018, as being highly lauded by outlets like 303 Magazine:

“The first full Denver Fashion Week (DFW) brought sartorial splendor to the Mile High City in the form of workshops, industry parties and imaginative runway shows...The result was a powerful message — Denver fashion has the power to break with convention and redefine glamour as a fluid concept.”

The Spring show was indeed a thrilling one, with plenty to see and a number of “firsts.” It was, for instance, the first ever bridal-only show and first children’s fashion show, featuring the works of “designers such as Dimple For Kids, couture handsewn dresses by Peach and Penny and prom dresses by The Secret Boutique.” There were other events, of course, including the paper fashion show and hair show, and all were of the quality you’d expect from an event so thoroughly planned as DFW.

If you’d like the recap on everything that went down, you should definitely check out 303 Magazine’s excellent write-up on What You Missed From the Inaugural Denver Fashion Week Spring 2018. For now, though, let’s turn our attention to what’s going to be happening come Fall 2018.

They’ll be dispensing real-world industry advice for those passionate about fashion to improve their game and start making waves of their own.

And if you’re interested in participating, there are plenty of chances to do that as well. DFW is always looking for sponsors and volunteers to add to the lengthy list of supporters that currently help make the entire show a success, like:

  • Mile High Luxury Real Estate
  • Neiman Marcus
  • Fashion Group International
  • Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design
  • Department of Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University

This is going to be yet another fun entry in the history books for DFW, so be sure to get your tickets and have a great time when you show up in attendance.
